About Empty Bowls Lower Valley 2026

Empty Bowls Lower Valley is a signature Food Bank RGV fundraising event bringing the Brownsville and Lower Valley community together for an evening filled with flavor, music, and purpose. Now in its 5th year, this lively food-tasting event invites guests to enjoy samples from local restaurants, take part in an exciting Salsa Contest, bid on silent auction items, and celebrate the power of community coming together to help feed our neighbors in need.

This year’s event, Empty Bowls Lower Valley: Noche Caliente, will take place at the Brownsville Events Center in Brownsville, Texas. Guests can look forward to an unforgettable evening featuring local food tastings, music, silent auction fun, and one of the hottest highlights of the night — the Salsa Contest, where local contenders will battle it out for bragging rights and the title of best salsa.
