Social Services Coordinator - Brownsville
JOB SUMMARY
The Social Services Coordinator plays a vital role in providing assistance, support, and advocacy to individuals and families in need within our community. This person will work closely with clients educating, informing, referring, and assisting them in the SNAP application process, along with any other assistance available through HHSC. The person in this role will involve assessing client needs, developing personalized plans, connecting clients with resources and services, and providing ongoing support to promote their well-being and self-sufficiency.
*This position will not be open until 7/1/2026.
CSFP Distribution Associate
JOB SUMMARY
The CSFP Distribution Associate includes all activities involving the distribution of commodities at all of our locations. Work jointly with the Senior Manager of CSFP and CSFP Specialists to assure that compliance with Federal Guidelines of the CSFP program and Food Bank RGV policies and procedures are maintained. The CSFP Distribution Associate is a fulltime, non-exempt position.
Pay: $11.24/hr
Programs Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The Programs Assistant is responsible for the coordination, compliance, and administration of the CDBG program. This role oversees participant certification, agency coordination, reporting, and program monitoring to ensure full compliance with federal guidelines and FBRGV policies. The Programs Assistant serves as a liaison between partner agencies and internal teams to ensure efficient program delivery and accurate reporting.
Pay: $12.00/hr
Controller
JOB SUMMARY
The Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, reporting, strategically managing accounting and financial products of the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc. (FBRGV). This position will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts for the FBRGV. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), and serving as a member of the Executive Management Team, this position provides leadership for all aspects of the organization’s financial functions.
Pay: $80K/Year
Agency Relations Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The Agency Relations Assistant supports the Agency Relations Department by providing administrative, compliance, and partner support services to FBRGV partner agencies. This position is responsible for maintaining agency records, tracking compliance requirements, coordinating communications, conducting agency outreach, and assisting with monitoring visits and capacity-building initiatives. The Agency Relations assistant serves as a key point of contact for partner agencies and plays an important role in ensuring agency compliance, accurate recordkeeping, and strong community partnerships.
Pay: $12.00/hr
Warehouse Associate
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of a warehouse facility. This position involves various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing of donated and purchased products for the Food Bank of the RGV (FBRGV). The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace, managing inventory, and adhering to FBRGV policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Pay: $11.24/hr
