The Social Services Coordinator plays a vital role in providing assistance, support, and advocacy to individuals and families in need within our community.  This person will work closely with clients educating, informing, referring, and assisting them in the SNAP application process, along with any other assistance available through HHSC. The person in this role will involve assessing client needs, developing personalized plans, connecting clients with resources and services, and providing ongoing support to promote their well-being and self-sufficiency. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Comptroller will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, reporting, strategically managing accounting and financial products of the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc. (FBRGV).  This position will provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts for the FBRGV.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), and serving as a member of the Executive Management Team, this position provides leadership for all aspects of the organization’s financial functions.

Pay: $80k/Yr

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Inventory is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the effective management of inventory within the FBRGV. This position involves strategic planning, inventory control, team leadership, and collaboration with various departments to ensure optimal supply chain operations.  The Director of Inventory manages all aspects of inventory including donated, purchased and USDA commodities. 

The Director of Inventory develops and implements inventory strategies that support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial accountability.  This position leads multiple inventory and warehouse teams while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.

JOB SUMMARY

The objective of the Manager of Safety and AIB Compliance is to prepare and maintain quality control and assurance in all Food Safety Areas of the Food Bank in accordance to AIB, Feeding America, Feeding Texas, Texas Department of Agriculture, and local Health Departments.  This position is responsible for acting as the primary liaison for maintaining oversight of the five major consolidated standards of inspection for American Institute of Baking (AIB) and Feeding America compliance.  This role is responsible for ensuring compliance of daily, weekly, and monthly documentation of cleaning, sanitation, pest control, GMP’s, food safety, food security, and facility maintenance reports.

This position is responsible for implementing hygiene/sanitation, quality control/quality assurance and shall establish written procedures and instructions outlining specific responsibilities for each area of the Food Bank.  This position implements and prepares all safety and quality assurance procedures.  This role is also in charge of preparation of all preventative related materials; maintains accurate records, assists in planning activities, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Pay: $20/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Volunteer Services & Donor Engagement leads the FBRGV’s volunteer program with responsibility for recruitment, engagement, retention, recognition, stewardship, community partnerships, program operations, and donor development.

This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven volunteer experience that encourages individuals and groups to remain engaged with the FBRGV over time.  The Manager will develop opportunities for volunteers to deepen their involvement through recurring service, specialized roles, leadership, advocacy, events, community engagement, and philanthropy.

As a member of the Development team, the Manager will work collaboratively across departments to ensure volunteer resources are effectively recruited, trained, supported, recognized, and connected to organizational needs while identifying opportunities to develop volunteers and volunteer groups into donor and long-term partners.

Pay: $20.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Donor Services Associate is responsible for accurately recording donations receiving in to Donor Perfect and maintain appropriate donor records.  The Donor Services Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that all donations are properly documented and entered in to our database in a timely manner.  A high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy is required for this position.

Pay: $12/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Transportation Coordinator supports the Logistics Manager by assisting with route planning, transportation technology, and GPS management to ensure timely and efficient movement of products.  This role plays a critical part in coordinating and auditing routes using Verizon’s fleet management system and ensuring transportation of goods aligns with FBRGV goals.

Pay: $15.50/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Volunteer Services Specialist plays a crucial role in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support the FBRGV’s mission and activities.  This employee will be responsible for developing and implementing volunteer programs and opportunities, coordinating volunteer assignments, and ensuring a positive volunteer experience.  This role requires strong communication and organization skills to effectively engage volunteers and support the needs of our organization.

Pay: $12.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Food Sourcing Assistant supports the Food Sourcing department in coordinating the day-to-day activities necessary to secure, track, and efficiently move donated and sourced food throughout the FBRGV.  This position works closely with the Manager of Food Sourcing, donors, vendors, warehouse staff, inventory, and other departments to maintain accurate records, coordinate product movement, respond to inquiries, and ensure sourcing activities are completed accurately and timely.

The Food Sourcing Assistant must be highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  This position requires strong follow-through, problem-solving skills, data accuracy, and a collaborative approach to supporting the Food Sourcing team and the overall mission of the FBRGV.

Pay: $15.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The CSFP Eligibility Specialist’s responsibilities include all activities involving certification of participants and coordination of volunteers for the Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP).  The CSFP Eligibility Specialist coordinates the distribution and certification of the application process. This person works jointly with other CSFP Eligibility Specialists to assure that compliance with Federal Guidelines of the CSFP program and Food Bank RGV policies and procedures are maintained.

Pay: $12.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The CSFP Distribution Associate includes all activities involving the distribution of commodities at all of our locations. Work jointly with the Senior Manager of CSFP and CSFP Specialists to assure that compliance with Federal Guidelines of the CSFP program and Food Bank RGV policies and procedures are maintained.  The CSFP Distribution Associate is a fulltime, non-exempt position.

Pay: $12.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The primary objective of this position is to serve visitors and pantry clients by professionally and politely greeting, welcoming, and directing them around the choice pantry at the Resource Center.  The Resource Center Associate is expected to carry assignments to completion with minimum direction, to convey a courteous and professional image at all times, to use discretion and good judgement based on a thorough knowledge of Food Bank RGV activities, programs, services, and special events. 

Pay: $12.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The major aspect of this position is the effective maintenance of the Food Bank RGV facility, the receipt, storage and distribution of donated and purchased products. This position requires working Monday through Friday with some weekends needed.
