Over the last 38 years, the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley has evolved to become the largest regional, non-religious, charity in South Texas.
We pride ourselves in the fact that 98% of our expenditures are directed towards Program Services, ensuring our donor’s contributions are helping feed as many as possible. The Food Bank RGV services Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties.Â

OUR IMPACT BY THE NUMBERS
Provided 32,690,570 meals to clients across the network.
Up to 88,410 individuals, including children, families, seniors and veterans are assisted each week in the RGV.
We partner with more than 275 non-profit partner agencies throughout 3 counties in our service territory in the RGV.
With only a 2% overhead means that 98% of our resources go back into fighting hunger and feeding hope in our community.
Did you know that for every hour that someone volunteers the food bank is able to provide an additional 105 meals for the community.
In 2024, 431,084 families received fresh, healthy, and nourish foods.
