Emergency Food Program
| | The emergency food assistance program is the main program of the Food Bank RGV. Through TEXCAP and our member agencies, we are able to help families in need of food throughout the Valley.
| Product Recovery Program
| | The product recovery program is the other main program of the Food Bank RGV. This program is responsible for the sorting, cleaning, inspecting, and repacking of donated salvage food. The product recovery area utilizes the majority of volunteers.
| Texas Second Change
| | The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc. and Lopez State Jail are partners in the Texas Second Chance Program. A program designed to help food banks with labor and at the same time provide inmates specialized training and warehouse skills.
|  | | School Tools is a program that provides school supplies to needy students and classroom supplies to teachers from eligible schools.
|  | | Healthy Living is a nutrition education program funded in part by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. The program includes on-site cooking classes and nutrition education curriculum.
|  | | Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income pregnant and breastfeeding women, new mothers up to one year postpartum, infants, and children up to age six, and elderly people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods.

| | Healthy for Life/Saludable (de) por Vida promotes a regional health initiative led by the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley in partnership with the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, Southwest Region, to educate people about how they can improve their health through nutrition, physical activity and prevention.
